Lukashenko sends anniversary greetings to Interior Ministry Internal Troops
President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko sent greetings to the Interior Ministry’s Internal Troops officers and veterans on its 108th anniversary, sb.by reports citing the Belarusian leader

The Belarusian leader noted that the Internal Troops’ history is inextricably linked to the difficult period of the formation of Belarusian statehood and is full of outstanding examples of courage, valour and bravery, “We will always remember and honour the feats of those who heroically fought against the interventionists, the Nazi invaders, nationalist gangs and criminal elements.”
“Today, the Internal Troops are actively developing. We can say with confidence that they are capable of carrying out any tasks under the most difficult conditions to defend the constitutional order, combat crime, extremism and terrorism, safeguard public peace and vital state facilities, as well as defuse explosive devices,” the message reads.
The President emphasised that the Internal Troops officers fulfil their difficult, yet essential and honourable duties with dignity, ensuring peace and constructive work for civilians, displaying high professionalism, discipline and self-sacrifice. The Internal Troops is one of the leaders in Belarus’ military and patriotic movement.
The Belarusian leader expressed his sincere gratitude to Internal Troops veterans, “You have established enduring traditions of devotion to duty, to your oath and to your native land, upon which our young people now build their character.”
The President wished all Internal Troops officers and veterans, their families and loved ones peaceful skies, good health, prosperity and every success in their service to the Fatherland.
