Lukashenko presented State Quality Mark for ‘wonder machine’
During the ceremony of presenting the State Quality Mark awards, President Aleksandr Lukashenko awarded one of these marks to the GS12A1 combine harvester produced by Gomselmash, BelTA reports
“They assisted with harvesting the grain. Thank you! Well, I know this ‘wonder machine’,” the Head of State said, approaching the stand.
Aleksandr Lukashenko gave the company’s staff some advice for the future, “Selling your products these days isn’t easy. Produce even a bit less, but ensure it’s of high quality. Quality is crucial. If a skilled operator handles this equipment, I believe it performs just as well as Western machines. Our operator harvested 8,000 tonnes [referring to Pavel Shutilo from the Kukhchitsy agricultural enterprise]. Honestly, I can’t imagine how that’s possible on any combine harvester.”
The President recalled that he was once discouraged from the idea of creating a domestic combine harvester in Belarus, with some claiming it would be beyond the country’s capabilities. “Well, here it is. We’ve done it. A good combine harvester. Keep focusing on quality,” the Head of State highlighted.
