Lukashenko outlined key mission of Slavianski Bazaar: we create peace here from year to year

Belarusians and guests of the Slavianski Bazaar festival annually create peace at the Vitebsk Amphitheatre, and this is the main mission of the festival – as stated by the President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, at the opening ceremony of the 32nd International Festival of Arts

The Head of State emphasised that the motto of the festival – Through Art to Peace and Mutual Understanding – has never been as relevant as it is at present, “The unity of Slavs and all reasonable people is being tested for strength again. However, here, in Vitebsk, we see how it is getting stronger from year to year. The circle of our friends is expanding, and artists from the farthest corners of our planet perform on this stage. When coming to us, they say ‘no’ to all artificially created barriers between peoples and countries, to all imposed stereotypes and opinions about our states.”

Aleksandr Lukashenko stressed, “From year to year, we all – Belarusians and Russians and, I am sure, there are many Ukrainians among us here, our guests – create peace here, under the dome of the Vitebsk Amphitheatre! This is the main mission of the Slavianski Bazaar.”
