President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko to pay a working visit to the Krasnopolye District, located in the Mogilev Region, BelTA reports

The President is to be briefed on the fish breeding industry’s progress and prospects for development within the five-year plan in progress, including the measures to produce more high-value species.
Based in the Krasnopolye District, the Paluzh firsh farm is one of producers of rainbow trout. The project has been included in One District — One Project, the President’s list of initiatives, and granted state support by a decree on developing the southeast of the Mogilev Region, becoming the parent company of two similar ventures based in the neighbouring Khotimsk and Cherikov districts. By 2028, the facilities operating a recirculating aquaculture system are expected to produce up to 2,000 tons of premium salmonid fish per year, as well as 15 million fertilised eggs of the same stock.
Aleksandr Lukashenko is set to receive updates on the progress in implementing the socio-economic development plan for the Mogilev Region. Adopted by a decree in 2015, the plan had been running through 2025, aiming for securing sustainable development for the district of Klimovichi, Kostyukovichi, Krasnopolye, Krichev, Slavgorod, Khotimsk, and Chirekov.
The President extended the validity of the decree’s key points for another five years, providing for benefits and incentives in order to boost investment, launch investment projects, retain personnel, and improve equipment and facilities for agricultural and construction enterprises.
While in place, it provided for a total of BYN 3.2bn allocated to the region’s economy and social initiative, the Mogilev Region Executive Committee stated. Major investment projects implemented during this period include a cement-bonded particle board plant in the Krichev District, a pig-breeding complex, and a sow farm in the Slavgorod and Klimovichi districts, as well as rainbow trout farms in the Krasnopolye and Khotimsk districts, and a facility for producing rainbow trout eggs in the Cherikov District.
Extending the socio-economic development plan for the Mogilev Region's southeast from 2026 to 2030 is now on the table.
