Lukashenko noted Belarus’ readiness to make all possible contribution to Bangladesh economic development

The President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, has congratulated President of Bangladesh Mohammed Shahabuddin and all residents of this country on the national holiday: Independence Day, the Belarusian leader’s press service reports

“Belarus views strengthening friendly relations with your country as an important direction of its foreign policy in South Asia,” the congratulatory message reads. “We’re keen to expand our exports to the Bangladeshi market, while also making a feasible contribution to the development of the industrial, agricultural and other sectors of your economy.”

The President of Belarus expressed confidence that supplies of potash fertilisers, passenger and road construction equipment, electric vehicles and tractors to Bangladesh, deepening ties in pharmaceuticals, science and technology, as well as modernisation of aviation and other equipment will contribute to progress, improvement of living standards, and growth of well-being of the people of Bangladeshis.

The Head of State invited the President of Bangladesh to Belarus on an official visit at a time convenient for him to discuss further steps to enhance mutually beneficial co-operation in a bilateral format and on international platforms.

Aleksandr Lukashenko wished Mohammed Shahabuddin strong health and success.
