Lukashenko laid wreath at the foot of the Mound of Glory

The President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, laid a wreath at the foot of the Mound of Glory on Independence Day. The ceremony was also attended by senior officials, veterans of the Great Patriotic War and labour, participants of the Memory Train patriotic action, as well as representatives of public organisations.

The memory of the heroes during the ceremony at the Mound of Glory was honoured with a minute of silence.

On the holiday, a large-scale festive platform unfolded near the memorial complex: a large exposition of weapons and equipment, items of folk crafts, treats, a musical programme and much more.
