Lukashenko: it’s time to finally get rid of imported parts and produce our own goods, including within Union State
Much more attention should be paid to the implementation of the Union State economic programmes – as noted by the President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, in his annual Address to the Belarusian People and the National Assembly
The President noted that today Belarus is successfully working together with Russia in space technologies, medicine, machine building, laser technology, microelectronics, and agro-industrial technologies.
“It’s now time to finally get rid of imported spare parts and produce our own goods, including within the Union State. Just think: the market of automobile components for transport machine building, imported into the territory of Belarus and Russia in 2021, amounted to $19bn. These are our competencies, we have a corresponding plant. We can expand this. Why are we doing this slowly?”
