Lukashenko inspected fields in Vitebsk and Mogilev regions
The President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, has today inspected oat and pea crops in the fields of the Vitebsk Region, as well as the presidential experimental field in the Mogilev Region: barley was sown in Alexandria last year. As reported by the Pul Pervogo Telegram channel, the unofficial inspection was accompanied by no reports.
The Head of State instructed to change the structure of crops with an emphasis on winter barley, since this crop matures faster and is removed from the fields earlier than others, also producing a good yield.
As the Pul Pervogo channel reminds, Aleksandr Lukashenko's concluded last year, “This year has shown that winter barley is a miracle. This is the third time I have come here: I saw how it was sowed, then young crops, and now I’m looking at how grain is filling. I am almost convinced that we should cultivate winter barley!”
The experiment continues with other crops this year, with lupin and peas growing in the presidential fields. However, the Head of State was satisfied with not everything he saw.
