Lukashenko met with Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov
The President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, has met tonight with the President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, at the Palace of Independence, BelTA reports
The heads of state talked informally behind closed doors, but it is known that among the topics discussed were the upcoming CSTO Summit, as well as some aspects in the development of bilateral relations.
As reported, during a meeting at the end of October with the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan, Aleksandr Lukashenko instructed the Belarusian Foreign Ministry to develop a plan for the development of relations with this country. Belarus is ready not only to significantly expand the range of supplied goods, equipment and machinery, but also to share the experience gained in various industries, and also to help with personnel training.
Aleksandr Lukashenko has also held a meeting with the President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, tonight.
Both leaders have arrived in Minsk on the eve of the CSTO Summit scheduled to be held on November 23rd. The session of the CSTO Collective Security Council will be chaired by the President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko. Its members will discuss topical issues of international and regional security, identify upcoming tasks, and adopt a number of documents aimed at ensuring the interests of collective security.
