Lukashenko explained Belarus’ role in special military operation

Belarus' participation in the special military operation in Ukraine aims to prevent the spread of the conflict on its territory – as noted by Aleksandr Lukashenko during today’s meeting on military security at the Defence Ministry. The President stressed that Belarus is closely monitoring all military processes and operations that are taking place in the world and commented on the country’s participation in the special military operations in Ukraine.

The Head of State, in particular, noted, “As for our participation in the special military operation in Ukraine, we are participating – and we are not hiding it. But we do not kill anyone, we do not send our military anywhere, and we do not violate our obligations. Our participation is, firstly, to prevent the spread of this conflict to the territory of Belarus and, secondly, to prevent a strike – under the guise of the special military operation – by Poland, Lithuania and Latvia. As I have said, no one will shoot Russians in their back from the territory of Belarus. This is our participation.”
