Lukashenko demanded results from IT specialists

The IT industry must generate results – as underlined by the President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, during a meeting discussing draft decrees on the development of the High Tech Park

In particular, the Head of State stated, “I want to warn (and I spoke about this in the Address) the Government, the leadership of the High Tech Park and all those who are related to this: it won’t be possible to sit it out! Result are needed! If there’re no results – no explanations or conversations are accepted.”

As Nikolai Snopkov, First Deputy Prime Minister, Head of the HTP Supervisory Board, said in his report, the documents being considered today are an example of the implementation of a tough Presidential instruction to create structures to proactively counter the sanctions policy against Belarus.

Moreover, Nikolai Snopkov emphasised, “The High Tech Park is nothing as a legal entity. The High Tech Park is, first of all and most importantly, the preferential conditions created by the President of the Republic of Belarus, thanks to which (and only thanks to which) the growth of the Park in recent years has made our country one of the record-breakers in IT exports in the region and worldwide.”
