“Belarus highly appreciates India’s efforts to uphold peace and stability. For centuries, your country’s economic, religious, and cultural authority has been one of the pillars of global balance,” the congratulation reads.

Aleksandr Lukashenko believes that the year under India’s presidency will be the time of new achievements and successes for BRICS and that Narendra Modi’s wisdom and forward-looking policies will maintain and promote BRICS’ position as one of the most influential international organisations.

The Belarusian leader thanked India’s PM for the assistance in obtaining the BRICS partner status for Belarus, “We are ready for fruitful work under India’s presidency for the sake of successful construction of a just and multipolar world order.”

Aleksandr Lukashenko highlighted that the priorities set by New Delhi for 2026 BRICS are relevant and significant. Those include innovation, co-operation, sustainable development, and resilience.

“As a responsible member of the international community and a country with significant technological potential and food and water security achievements, Belarus is ready to share its developments for the harmonious development of the Global South. We are already doing a lot in this respect, and partnership with great India opens up new unique prospects,” the President emphasised.

Aleksandr Lukashenko is convinced that Belarus’ upcoming accession to the New Development Bank will contribute to more efficient co-operation and counts on India’s support for Minsk’s application to the structure.

“My dear friend, I look forward to meeting you in person soon to exchange views on bilateral and multilateral agenda,” the Belarusian leader added.

The President of Belarus wished India’s Prime Minister good health, prosperity and every success during India’s BRICS presidency.
