Lukashenko congratulates China’s President Xi Jinping on his birthday

The President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, has congratulated the President of the People's Republic of China, Xi Jinping, on his birthday – as reported by the Belarusian leader’s press service

"The unconditional support of the Chinese, the successes of friendly China in overcoming the consequences of the coronavirus pandemic, strengthening its position in the international arena and building a community of a common destiny of humanity are a clear evidence of the effectiveness of your policy,” the congratulatory message reads.

Aleksandr Lukashenko addresses Xi Jinping, “Your high authority among world leaders is ensured by your unwavering commitment to equitable, balanced and inclusive global development. Following your course, the People's Republic of China is making a significant contribution to improving the system of international governance and maintaining stability throughout the world.”

The Belarusian leader adds he fully shares Xi Jinping’s ideas and initiatives on universal development and security. According to him, Minsk and Beijing actually support each other, strengthening traditional friendship and strategic partnership day by day. Aleksandr Lukashenko believes that – thanks to the unity of positions and co-ordinated efforts – any obstacle will be overcome.

“I sincerely appreciate the good relations that have developed between us. I will be glad to see you soon and have the opportunity to discuss key issues on the bilateral and international agendas,” the President of Belarus says in his message.
