Lukashenko congratulated Prabowo Subianto on convincing victory in Indonesian presidential election

On behalf of the Belarusian people and himself, President Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated Prabowo Subianto on his convincing victory in the presidential elections of the Republic of Indonesia, the Belarusian leader’s press service reports

“Such a result clearly demonstrates the firm support of Indonesian citizens for the course aimed at the gradual development of the state and improving the well-being of the people," the congratulatory message reads.

The Head of State noted that Minsk attaches great importance to deepening ties with Jakarta, “For more than thirty years of diplomatic relations, an atmosphere of friendship and trust has been established between our countries. I am convinced that – with your personal participation – our co-operation will continue to expand fruitfully in political, trade, economic, scientific, technical, humanitarian and other spheres."

Aleksandr Lukashenko invited Prabowo Subianto to pay an official visit to Belarus at a convenient time for him, also wishing him good health and success in his responsible state post.
