Lukashenko congratulated Muslim believers on Eid al-Fitr holiday

The President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, has congratulated Muslim believers on the holiday of Eid al-Fitr, sb.by reports with reference to the Belarusian leader’s press service

“Dear compatriots! I cordially congratulate all Muslims on the holiday of Eid al-Adha – a symbol of the inextricable connection of generations, spiritual purity and creativity, mercy and love for one’s neighbour. This joyful event unites believers and fills human hearts with kindness and bright light, humanity and mutual understanding,” the congratulatory message reads.

The Head of State noted that, along with representatives of other faiths, Muslims of Belarus contribute to the preservation of traditional values, contribute to the development of the unique cultural heritage of our country, and maintain an atmosphere of religious tolerance and openness.

Aleksandr Lukashenko wished all Muslims strong health and prosperity, “May this day bring warmth and comfort, happiness and good luck to every home.”
