Lukashenko: Belarusians, Danes managed to maintain co-operation despite contrived contradictions

The President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, has congratulated the people of Denmark on the national holiday: Constitution Day, the Belarusian leader’s press service reports

"Belarus and Denmark have been successfully developing co-operation in the field of high technology, industry, animal husbandry, climate protection, wind energy for many years. We can rightfully be proud of our high socio-economic standards, which have become an excellent example for many countries of the world," the congratulatory message reads.

The Belarusian leader is convinced that these achievements are under threat of unfair sanctions and the escalation of military hysteria now, and this brings nothing to both sides except a drop in living standards and uncertainty about the future.

The Head of State noted with satisfaction that Belarusians and Danes, despite all the far-fetched contradictions, managed to maintain the ties established over decades in the field of trade, investment and culture.

"I am sure that only an equal dialogue, mutual respect and the continuation of bilateral co-operation will bring peace and tranquillity back to our common region," the President stressed.

Aleksandr Lukashenko wished the people of Denmark peace and prosperity.
