Lukashenko: Belarus interested in expanding dialogue with India to strategic partnership level

The President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, has congratulated the President of India, Droupadi Murmu, and the people of this country as the latter is celebrating the national holiday of Republic Day, the Belarusian leader’s press service reports

"India has achieved excellent success in socio-economic development, becoming one of the most progressive countries in the world," the congratulatory message reads. "Belarus attaches great importance to strengthening friendly relations with New Delhi and is interested in expanding a political dialogue to the level of strategic partnership."

The Head of State believes the intensification of contacts in trade, economic, educational, investment, scientific and cultural spheres meets the interests of the two states’ citizens.

"I will be glad to meet with you personally in the year of India's chairmanship in the Shanghai Co-operation Organisation and discuss ways and directions of developing comprehensive interaction,” the Belarusian leader noted.

Aleksandr Lukashenko wished Droupadi Murmu good health and success, also wishing peace and further progress to the Indian people.
