Lukashenko: Belarus established reliable protection system for wild animals, forest and fishing areas

Head of State Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated the State Inspectorate on Wildlife Protection under the President of the Republic of Belarus on 20th anniversary of its formation, BelTA reports with reference to the Belarusian leader’s press service

“The establishment of a new structure directly subordinate to the Head of State two decades ago pursued the noblest goal: to preserve our priceless heritage – the wealth and beauty of Belarusian nature – for the generations to come. We can now assert for sure that the tasks set then are now being successfully carried out by you,” the Head of State addressed the inspectorate staff in his congratulatory message.

The Belarusian leader stressed that, thanks to the employees’ high professionalism and responsible attitude to work over these years, a reliable system of protection of wild animals, forest and fishing areas has been created in the country, and an effective control over the rational use of the forest fund has been ensured.

Aleksandr Lukashenko addressed special words of gratitude to veterans who had laid traditions and started all the work on combating illegal hunting, improving environmental legislation, informing the population and preventing offenses.

"It was not easy, and we must always remember the names of those who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty," the President said. "I am convinced that, as it has well–trained personnel and the necessary technical potential, the inspectorate will continue to honourably fulfil its unique mission, protecting the heritage that belongs to all people – those who live now and the generations that will come,” the Head of State emphasised.

Aleksandr Lukashenko thanked the inspectorate employees for their conscientious service, wishing them good health, happiness, prosperity, peace and new professional achievements for the benefit of Belarus.
