The conversation took place in a closed format, and that was not surprising. In the context of global turbulence and intense competition in the global market, there is no need to disclose the details of business negotiations.

Before the talks began, Aleksandr Lukashenko noted that he would meet with President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping tomorrow, June 4th. “The machine-building industry and technological modernisation of certain industries in Belarus will be among the main issues on the agenda. I say this for you to understand that this wonderful idea, which is very necessary for our economy at present, does not belong to me. This is the idea of Chinese President Xi Jinping, who, as we see in China (the world knows this, and we all the more), is aiming at a scientific and technological revolution in mechanical engineering. I am very grateful to my long-time friend and colleague for involving Belarus in the process, which has gained very high momentum in China,” the Belarusian leader said.
