Lukashenko awarded Olympic athletes
The President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, signed a decree to award sports representatives with orders and medals for achieving high sports results at the 2021 Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games in Tokyo (Japan) – as reported by BelTA with reference to the Belarusian leader’s press service
The Order of Fatherland of the 3rd Degree was awarded to an athlete-instructor of the national trampoline team of the Republic of Belarus – Ivan Litvinovich, a coach of the Interior Ministry’s sports team – Maryna Litvinchuk, an athlete-instructor of Belarus’ national rowing and canoeing team – Marharyta Makhneva, and also sports instructors of the Interior Ministry’s sports team – Nadzeya Papok and Volha Khudzenka.
An athlete-instructor of Belarus’ national wrestling team, Mahamedkhabib Kadzimahamedau, was awarded the Order of Honour. The same award went to Maksim Nedasekau, an athlete-instructor of the Sports Committee of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus.
Athlete-instructors of Belarus’ national team in Paralympic sport – Lizaveta Piatrenka and Yahor Shchalkanau – were awarded the Medal for Labour Merits.
In turn, an honorary title of the Honoured Master of Sports of the Republic of Belarus was awarded to an athlete-instructor of Belarus’ national team in Paralympic sport – Ihar Boki, and an athlete-instructor of Belarus’ national team in rhythmic gymnastics – Alina Harnasko.
