Lukashenko asked Sports Minister tough questions

Aleksandr Lukashenko particularly dwelled on the readiness to send our ice hockey players to participate in the Kontinental Hockey League and Supreme Hockey League, “Have you calculated how much it will cost? Where will you get money? No answer?”

In this regard, Aleksandr Lukashenko also recalled the words of Dmitry Baskov, a member of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, who constantly reminds him that Dinamo Minsk has reached the KHL playoffs for the second year in a row.

“I tell him that next year you will again reach the playoffs and tell me that this is for the third year in a row. We have invested millions there. Where is the progress? Last year, you were knocked out in the first round, but you somehow floundered, while this year you were just thrown out of there and that’s it. Where is the positive dynamics? Where is the progress that I need?” said the President. “We’ve injected huge money. People want to see their heroes! And you just went into the matter, you only digitised some methods...”
