Lukashenko: all dairy farms should be packed with cattle

During his today’s visit to the Slutsk District, the President gave a relevant instruction

In Kozlovichi-Agro, the Head of State visited the Lesuny newly constructed dairy farm. Here, 1,500 cows can be kept. The farm was built using internal resources and commissioned this June.

“You should feed twice as many cattle on this land as you do now. Here is your salvation and profitability," Aleksandr Lukashenko addressed the head of the farm. “All dairy farms must be packed with cattle.”

Sergei Penyaz, the Director of Kozlovichi-Agro JSC, informed that Br5.6m had been used to implement the project. “Of these, Br1.5m came from the regional budget, and the remaining Br4m – from our own funds. It took four years to build the complex, and all its frames and reinforced concrete were supplied by our Slutsk enterprise. This is a cheap option compared to metal structures. Two buildings are ready by now, and the third one will be completed in three months. The fourth building is also planned. We already earn Br8,000 daily on this complex, and the monthly sum makes Br240,000. It is enough for salaries, and money is also left to repay the invested funds,” he explained.

“This is a good option. If it is optimal in terms of money, this is good,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said.

Discussing the topic of financing and support for further construction of such complexes in other farms – proposed for consideration by the Minsk Region’s Governor, Aleksandr Turchin, the Head of State stressed that such support should be selective, based on prospects and a possible good return.
