Kochanova: no peace and tranquillity in society possible without unanimity

A split of a nation entails domestic problems and always slows the development of society down, so the people must be united to avoid this – as stated by the Chairperson of the Council of the Republic, Natalya Kochanova, during the patriotic forum, We are Belarusians!, dedicated to National Unity Day

“There will be no peace and tranquillity in society if it lacks unanimity,” Ms. Kochanova believes. “For me, this holiday is love for our native country, it is our history and the difficult path that Belarus and our people have passed. National Unity Day is a holiday when we feel each other's souls and hearts, when we all think together that – thanks to our older generations – we enjoy the opportunity to live in such a beautiful, wonderful country today. We understand once again how important it is for us to stay together in order to live in our beautiful native Belarus – most importantly, on our land, in our sovereign, independent country.”
