The Chairperson of the Council of the Republic and an authorised representative of Belarus’ President in Minsk, Natalya Kochanova, has visited Minsk City Technopark JSC and a number of its modernised facilities today, also holding a meeting on development of the territories that previously belonged to MotoVeloZavod JSC. On March 5th, 2021, Aleksandr Lukashenko visited the enterprise and set two tasks: to develop the factory and increase localisation up to 50 percent, and also to effectively use the territory and create a high-tech production facility there.

Natalya Kochanova got acquainted with the progress of work in building No. 7, part of which has already been put into operation, as well as in building No. 3. In June 2023, during her previous visit to this site, the Chairperson of the Council of the Republic said that innovative enterprises focused on the production of high-added value products should be located there.

In turn, Aleksandr Botvinnik, the General Director of the Minsk Motor Plant, informed that his company plans to lease one of the buildings for the production of gasoline engines, “The Head of State set the task of deeper localisation of motorcycle production, one of the elements of which is the internal combustion engine. Already this year, we will organise the assembly of gasoline engines here, which will fully meet the Motovelo needs. Previously, we produced diesel engines only, so this is a new experience for us.”
