Kalashnikov Concern to increase tactical drone production

The Kalashnikov Concern will place special emphasis on production of tactical drones in 2023 – as informed by its head, Alan Lushnikov, Rossiya 24 TV channel reports

“We are developing a line of unmanned aerial vehicles, and this is fundamentally important in the current conditions. We are speaking of tactical drones, which are not launched from airfields. This our niche, we are working and developing there," Mr. Lushnikov said, adding that the concern is also producing reconnaissance and impact-detonated drones, as well as impact-detonated loitering air munition. “All these products performed very well in 2022. Of course, we will increase their production and develop new models,” he noted.

Earlier it was reported that the Kalashnikov Concern supplies tactical drones – developed by the reverse engineering method with use of components from Asia – to Russian troops in the special operation zone, in addition to the impact-detonated loitering air munition of the Product 51/Product 52 family (formerly known as the Lancet).
