India proposes to create biofuel alliance for environmental protection
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that India intends to propose the creation of a biofuel alliance to protect the environment and promote the energy transition, TASS reports
Narendra Modi said, “People around the world can unite to understand our planet: every lifestyle decision can be made taking into account the impact it will have on the planet in the long term. A biofuel alliance may become another step in this direction.”
The politician added that India had already initiated the International Solar Alliance aimed at the development of solar energy. Moreover, the Mission Life movement was created to encourage individual and collective actions to protect and preserve the environment. According to Mr. Modi, such alliances are ‘aimed at creating opportunities for developing countries to advance their energy transition’.
