India interested in Belarus

Indian ceramic manufacturing companies demonstrate interest in entering the Belarusian market – as representatives of seven such producers said at Budpragres-2021 international construction expo in Minsk

“The India’s Morbi Province is known for its ceramics all over the world. Wall and floor tiles, porcelain stoneware of various sizes, plumbing and tableware are produced here,” Svetlana Zvezdina, the Assistant General Director of MinskExpo, says. “Ninety percent of the Indian and 13 percent of the world ceramics production are concentrated in Morbi. Indian ceramic products enjoy great demand domestically and their exports are relatively low. With this in view, a large delegation of Indian ceramic manufacturing companies has arrived in Minsk to find new partners in our country.”

In turn, the Deputy Minister of Architecture and Construction, Oleg Shvets, notes that Indian companies produce good-quality ceramics, adding that the Ministry will assist in the entry of Indian ceramic manufacturers into the Belarusian market.

Budpragres-2021 is held in Minsk from September 14th-17th – featuring 45 companies from three countries and several new thematic shows: Design and Interior, Design and Modelling, Hi-Tech in Architecture and Construction, and Modern Stove Building. As is traditional, Budpragres creates an additional opportunity to bring the latest technologies, materials and structures to the construction market, while also being a centre for the exchange of experience. All these contribute to development of the construction industry and attraction of investments into this sector of the economy. Business ties between Belarusian and foreign companies are getting stronger as well. With this in mind, Mr. Shvets notes, “The exhibition primarily enables us to compare the market positions and outline the areas for further development. Our Budpragres is represented by several sections: design and modelling, hi-tech, digitalisation technologies (BIM) and others – which jointly create the environment we live in.”
