In January 2022, EAEU foreign trade was 62.6% up

In January 2022, volumes of the Eurasian Economic Union’s foreign trade with the states outside the EAEU made $76.3bn – or 62.2 percent more than in January 2021. Accordingly, exports of goods increased by 76.5 percent over this period, while imports rose by 40.6 percent.

Exports to non-EAEU countries from Kazakhstan (by 94.1 percent) and Russia (by 76.8 percent) grew most significantly, while imports to Kyrgyzstan increased 2.8 times. At the same time, the volume of mutual trade in goods in January 2022 stood at $5bn – a 17.3 percent rise against January 2021.

As posted on the Eurasian Economic Commission website, the growth of export potential in mutual trade is registered in all states of the Eurasian Economic Union. Kyrgyzstan and Armenia demonstrate the highest figures: 80 percent and 34.3 percent respectively.
