II CIS Games symbols registered as trademark
The National Intellectual Property Centre has registered a trademark representing the mascot, the logo and the slogan of the upcoming II CIS Games scheduled to be held in Belarus in August
As reported by the National Intellectual Property Centre, the Belsportobespechenie state institution will own the trademark. Jointly with the Sports and Tourism Ministry, it annually organises about 700 sports and mass sports events, including at the international level.
“Symbols of any sports competition are an integral part of the promotion of sports events. They are also a resource for attracting additional sources of profit,” the Centre noted.
Earlier, the symbols of the 2014 Ice Hockey World Championship and the II European Games of 2019, held in Minsk, were registered as trademarks by the National Intellectual Property Centre.
