Georgian authorities: Georgia avoided Ukrainian scenario

8 January, 16:02
Georgia was able to avoid the Ukrainian scenario, but the fight to maintain peace in the country is still ongoing, said the political council of the ruling Georgian Dream – Democratic Georgia coalition in a statement, TASS reports

“With a great effort, as a result of an uncompromising struggle, Georgia was able to avoid the Ukrainian scenario, but the fight to maintain peace is still ongoing, and we have to see it through,” the statement said.

As the Georgian coalition reminded, as long as hostilities continue in Ukraine, the West will be interested in opening a ‘second front’ in Georgia. In that context, the political council stressed that the Georgian people have to see this fight to its end in order to survive.

The statement also mentioned attempts by the US’ so-called ‘deep state’ to control Washington and its foreign policy. The Georgian authorities believe that the crises raging today throughout the world and in Ukraine in particular were caused by the ‘deep state’.

“The deep state has set multiple countries on fire. Their destructive efforts are seen in the friendly Ukraine more clearly than anywhere else. Before 2014, Ukraine used to have sovereignty, territorial integrity, and an economy worth nearly 200 billion [Dollars]; it has been destroyed almost completely by now, but the Maidan architects are taking no responsibility for that,” added the Georgian Dream.
