Georgia reported it developed plan in case of nuclear war in its region
The Head of the State Security Service of Georgia, Grigol Liluashvili, said that the Georgian Government has developed a detailed plan that will be used in case of a nuclear war in the region, TASS reports
Mr. Liluashvili noted that the existing challenges do not exclude the possibility of using nuclear weapons in the region now. Therefore, an action plan has been developed and approved under the leadership of the Government with the participation of response agencies and the State Security Service. According to the document, a scenario of actions that will have to be realised in the event of a dangerous situation is outlined for each department.
It is also reported that the Healthcare Ministry has a specific plan related to stocks of medicines and treatment of people. In addition, according to Mr. Liluashvili, bomb shelters are to be prepared in the country.
