Financial aid paid for Victory Day in Belarus
Financial assistance payments for Victory Day have been launched in Belarus, and among their recipients are 10,000+ people countrywide
In line with a decision of the President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, financial assistance is paid annually on Victory Day to veterans of the Great Patriotic War, as well as to persons affected by consequences of the hostilities.
As informed by Deputy Prime Minister Igor Petrishenko, payments in the amount of Br850-1,000 are envisaged for more than ten thousand Belarusians.
According to the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection, about Br10m will be allocated from the republican budget for such payments, and – against the last year’s figures – their amount has been increased for all recipients.
