Expert explained why Grammy for Zelenskyy is more important than hunger in Ukraine

In his talk with Alfa Radio, Aleksei Avdonin, an analyst with the Belarusian Institute of Strategic Research, commented on the address of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the Grammy Awards ceremony

“Zelenskyy and all the political elite around him are businessmen. They have nothing to do with the realisation of state interests, an attempt to think about the nation, neither in their minds nor in their souls. They only think about themselves and about how to hold on to their posts, how they would be paid more by their western curators. Each day of Zelenskyy’s tenure as president is paid, probably, costing several million US Dollars. The Ukrainian authorities sit in their places and implement what they are told. Nobody thinks about the ordinary Ukrainian people. Nobody is concerned about the inability to conduct a sowing campaign. None of them worry that citizens die or leave for another country,” said the expert.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke at the Grammy Awards ceremony in Las Vegas, noting in his speech that due to hostilities, Ukrainian musicians are forced to wear ‘body armour instead of tuxedos’ and sing for the wounded in hospitals.

Zelenskyy urged to tell the truth about the military operation in social networks and on television, asking to support the Ukrainian people in any possible way. After Zelenskyy’s speech, John Legend performed the song Free together with Ukrainian artists at the awards ceremony.
