EDB: Belarus’ economy continues to grow

22 December, 11:07

Belarus’ GDP grew by 1.3 percent in January – November 2025 (compared to 1.5 percent growth in January – October), sb.by reports citing a weekly macroeconomic outlook of the Eurasian Development Bank

“The economy continues to grow thanks to consumer and investment activity. Retail trade turnover increased by 7.1 percent YoY in January–November (following 7.7 percent YoY in January–October). Investment in fixed capital grew by 11.8 percent YoY (following 13.2 percent YoY). Weakening demand from Russia in 2025 is having a negative impact on industry, where output fell by 1.7 percent YoY,” the EDB stated.

In 2026, Belarus’ GDP will continue to grow as the Belarusian government implements 600 planned projects and Russia’s economy accelerates, EDB analysts believe.
