EC: restoration of Ukraine will cost almost €453bn

Ukraine’s restoration after the conflict with Russia will cost 452.8bn Euros, TASS reports with reference to the European Commission

"An updated joint Rapid Damage and Needs Assessment released today [February 15^th] by the Government of Ukraine, the World Bank Group, the European Commission, and the United Nations currently estimates that as of December 31st, 2023, the total cost of reconstruction and recovery in Ukraine is $486bn (452.8bn Euros) over the next decade,” the source said in a statement.

It is emphasised that this figure was less – $411bn (383bn Euros) – a year earlier.
