Diplomats presented Belarus’ achievements at international eco-farming forum
The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to the Republic of Korea, Andrei Chernetsky, took part in the 2nd International Forum on Eco-Farming in Gimhae – as reported by the Belarusian Foreign Ministry’s press service
As part of the forum, Mr. Chernetsky informed on the country’s initiatives on sustainable agriculture and development of organic farming in Belarus. Agriculture is not only an important sector of the national economy: it makes a significant contribution to Belarus’ food security and export potential. Domestic manufacturers of agricultural machinery occupy leading positions in the international market.
The Belarusian diplomat noted that the Precision Agriculture project of the future is being implemented in the country, and its Digital Field component aims to create a digital twin of an agricultural enterprise. Mr. Chernetsky mentioned that, in 2018, Belarus joined the group of countries with legislative regulation in the field of organic agriculture.
Belarus’ ambassador held meetings with the Mayor of Gimhae, deputies of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea and many experts in the field of eco-farming during the forum.
