Deputy PM: Belarus preparing for assembly-line production of domestic passenger electric vehicles

The republic has approved a comprehensive programme for production of a pilot batch of five Belarusian electric vehicles – as informed by Deputy Prime Minister Piotr Parkhomchik in his talk with the Belarus 1 TV channel, sb.by reports

“There is no doubt that the task will be implemented on time. We plan to complete the production of these five passenger electric vehicles in August-September, and trial operation and testing will then follow. By the end of 2024, the assembly-line production of these electric vehicles is expected to be launched,” the Deputy Prime Minister said.

In addition, certain enterprises of the Industry Ministry are planned to produce the entire range of components for domestic electric vehicles.
