Denmark, the Netherlands to transfer 14 Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine

Copenhagen and Amsterdam will jointly deliver fourteen Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine – as stated by Danish Foreign Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen, RIA Novosti reports with reference to Danish Radio

According to Lars Lokke Rasmussen, the supplies will be Denmark’s major donation within the framework of its co-operation project with the Netherlands.

Earlier, Acting Danish Defence Minister Troels Lund Poulsen informed that the first Leopard 1 tanks from Denmark, Germany and the Netherlands will be handed over to Kiev in early May 2023.

The Russian side has repeatedly stated that arms supplies to Ukraine do not contribute to a peaceful settlement of the situation, but simply prolong the conflict.
