CSTO mission developed proposals to de-escalate tension on Armenian-Azerbaijani border

The CSTO mission advance team worked out measures to de-escalate tensions between Armenia and Azerbaijan and left for Moscow, the CSTO press service reports

A meeting on the results of the CSTO mission advance team’s work took place at Armenia’s Defence Ministry on September 19th. As reported by the CSTO press service, Colonel-General Anatoly Sidorov – who heads the advance team – informed Armenian Defence Minister Suren Papikyan on the results of the analysis of the situation in certain areas on the border of Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as on the main conclusions and proposals for appropriate measures.

"An open and constructive exchange of views took place. The elaborated proposals are aimed at de–escalating the observed tension,” the source said, adding that – after the meeting – the advance team left for Moscow.
