Cosmonaut Training Centre and CIS informal summit. Lukashenko to make a working visit to Russia

The President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, will pay a working visit to the Russian Federation, BelTA reports

In the Star City near Moscow, Aleksandr Lukashenko, at the invitation of the President of Russia, will visit the Yuri Gagarin Research and Test Cosmonaut Training Centre. At present, candidates for space flights from Belarus are being selected there.

The President will get acquainted with the work of the centre, the system of selection and training of cosmonauts. Moreover, the future prospects of the Belarusian-Russian co-operation in the space sector will be discussed.

Aleksandr Lukashenko will also take part in an informal summit of the CIS heads of state to be held on December 26th-27th in St. Petersburg. The leaders of the countries will sum up the results of the outgoing 2022 and discuss plans for further interaction in the most relevant areas for the CIS.
