China will hold a joint military exercise with five Southeast Asian countries in mid-to-late November – as noted by the Chinese Defence Ministry, TASS reports
It is known that China will hold exercises with five countries.
“The Chinese military will conduct joint military drills with the Armed Forces of Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam in the Guangdong Province in southern China in mid-to-late November,” the military department said in a statement, quoted by Xinhua.
The Defence Ministry clarified that as part of the military manoeuvres, joint counteraction to terrorism and piracy, as well as ensuring maritime security, will be worked out. The purpose of the exercise is to ‘deepen mutual trust and co-operation in the military sphere to protect regional peace and stability’.
