Chervyakov: Belarus’ economy is balanced

Belarus has created all the necessary conditions for further economic growth – as stated by Economy Minister Aleksandr Chervyakov on meeting students and lecturers of the Belarusian-Russian University, the Economy Ministry reports

Mr. Chervyakov shared his opinion on the geopolitical situation in the world, spoke in detail about the work of the Government to increase the stability of economic sectors, countering sanctions, the results of the past year and plans for 2023.

“The Belarusian economy is working steadily, in a balanced way. The necessary conditions have been created for its further growth. Since January, we have been observing recovery trends in industry and the construction sector, and agriculture is also demonstrating good results,” the Economy Minister emphasised.

Mr. Chervyakov also touched upon the topic of developing the competencies of future specialists, “The world is changing rapidly. New high-tech production facilities are being opened, innovative technologies and equipment are being introduced. Employers place increasing requirements for the level of their personnel’s qualification. It is very important to transform them into specific skills and competencies, since the competitiveness in the labour market and, accordingly, the level of future well–being depends on this.”
