BelGee takes the lead in new passenger car sales in Belarus

BelGee JSC became the leader in sales in the segment of new passenger cars in Belarus – as noted by Chairman of the Board of the Belarusian Automobile Association Sergei Varivoda during a conference at the National Press Centre

“This year, the automobile market in Belarus is under strong pressure from both demand and supply factors. We’re watching the perfect storm. At the same time, the domestic manufacturer BelGee firmly holds the blow. Despite the challenges faced by the automobile market, the Geely brand has been the absolute sales leader in the new passenger car segment since June and is increasing its advantage.”

He also recalled that at one time many experts were dominated by the viewpoint that the presence of our own manufacturer would be a blow to the interests of the import network, infringement of car dealers’ interests.

“In my opinion, this did not happen. Moreover, today we are more united than divided. BelGee is a full member of the Automobile Association. We stand shoulder to shoulder, confronting challenges and sometimes unfair competition. We have common approaches on most issues. I think that the arrival of BelGee on the market has led to the fact that the mentality of the Belarusian consumer is changing.”
