Belarusians among top world app developers
American Analytical Agency data.ai has released its State of Mobile 2023 report, indicating that Belarusians continue to occupy leading positions in the ranking, Hi-Tech Park reports
It is noted that the ranking comprises nine categories of mobile apps: games, finance, retail, streaming services, social media, food and drinks, travel, health and sports.
The Count Masters hyper-casual project of the HTP resident, FreePlay, entered the top 10 in downloads in 2022 not only in the US and the UK, as in 2021, but also in Germany, Spain, Italy, France and Japan.
In turn, Flo Health, a women's health app developed in Belarus, took 6th place in terms of the number of its global downloads last year, and increased by one position in terms of user spending – occupying the 5th position now.
SayGames, a company with Belarusian roots, is among the global leaders regarding the number of downloads: in 2022, it was placed 5th.
“After analysing the global trends, the agency's analysts note that the number of new app downloads increased by 11 percent to reach 255bn. The average time spent by users in applications has increased by 3 percent to make about five hours a day. Users’ expenses in applications decreased by 2 percent last year, amounting to $167bn,” the Hi–Tech Park added.
