Belarus to develop mechanism for bringing Nazi criminals and their accomplices to justice

The Prosecutor General's Office has set up a working group to prepare a draft law to determine the procedure for criminal proceedings against deceased persons involved in war crimes, the Prosecutor General's Office reports in its Telegram channel

Dmitry Brylev, the Deputy Head of the Prosecutor General's Office, noted that the group would develop a legal mechanism for bringing Nazi criminals and their accomplices – who for certain reasons, including those related to the policies of individual countries, have failed to come to trial – to criminal responsibility.

It is informed that, after making appropriate changes to the legislation, criminal proceedings against those involved in the genocide of the Belarusian people during the Great Patriotic War will become possible.
