Belarus, Oman noted importance of building logistics chains to increase mutual trade

On February 6th, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Russian Federation, Dmitry Krutoi, met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Sultanate of Oman to the Russian Federation, Hamood bin Salim bin Abdullah Al Towaiya, the Belarusian Embassy in Russia reports

In the course of the meeting, the heads of the diplomatic missions reviewed topical issues on the bilateral agenda, discussed the schedule of upcoming contacts between Minsk and Muscat, co-operation in the political, trade and economic spheres, development of the legal framework. 

They noted the effective work of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Belarus and Oman. The Ambassador of the Sultanate asserted that business representatives of his country are keen to develop co-operation with Belarusian business circles. 

Hamood Al Towaiya outlined fertilisers and dairy products as the most demanded products from Belarus in the Omani market, while highlighting the developed IT sector of our country and co-operation in medicine. 

The heads of diplomatic missions stressed the importance of building logistics chains to increase the volume of mutual trade. 

Dmitry Krutoi, in turn, pointed out the importance of developing the legal framework and signing a number of documents under consideration by the parties: in economy, trade and visa liberalisation.
