The guests got acquainted in detail with the latest developments of scientists presented at the Achievements of Domestic Science for Production permanent exhibition. Italian Ambassador to Belarus Tomaso Pietro Marchegiani also took part in the talks.

As Vladimir Gusakov noted during the meeting, Belarus and Italy have long-standing scientific ties, which were supported in every possible way.

“We’re keen to maintain our scientific connections in a wide range of scientific areas. Collaboration between scientists should not be politicised,” he added.

Angelo Ilardi, in turn, underlined that today it is very important to implement initiatives that can help develop dialogue, and the round table at the end of February will contribute to this. At the upcoming event it is planned to discuss the mechanisation of livestock farming, genetics, digitalisation, energy saving, etc.
