Belarus, Lebanon confirm interest in stronger ties

Belarus’ Deputy Foreign Minister, Mikalai Barysevich, has met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Lebanon to the Russian Federation and to the Republic of Belarus concurrently, Chawki Bou Nassaron, on the occasion of presenting copies of his credentials – as informed by the Belarusian Foreign Ministry’s press service

The sides confirmed their interest in intensifying comprehensive Belarusian-Lebanese co-operation, primarily in the trade and economic sphere.

Special attention was paid to organisation of consultations on political issues between the two states’ foreign ministries and a new meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Co-operation.
