Belarus’ Foreign Minister: participants of CSTO agencies’ meeting called for ceasing bloodshed in the Middle East

The conflict in Ukraine continues to be a sore point and the main destabilising factor in the Eastern European region – as concluded by the participants of a joint session of the Council of Foreign Ministers, the Council of Defence Ministers and the Committee of Secretaries of Security Councils of the Collective Security Treaty Organisation member states in Minsk

As reported by Belarus’ Foreign Minister, Sergei Aleinik, the issue of the Middle East crisis was also high on the agenda. “The participants of the meeting called for an end to the bloodshed and for a peaceful resolution of the conflict by political and diplomatic means on the basis of the UN resolution through the creation of states,” he said.
