Belarus’ companies signed $26m in contracts at Vietnam Expo 2023

National Marketing Centre Director Nikolai Borisevich spoke about the effectiveness of holding business meetings in the format of direct communication

He noted that our country’s participation in the Vietnam Expo 2023 international event and the Belarusian-Vietnamese business forum is prestigious.

“There are 400 expositions here (China, India, South Korea and Belarus). During the opening ceremony, the organisers focused on Belarus’ participation in this expo and business forum, the interest is quite large,” he underlined.

Nikolai Borisevich noted that the Vietnamese market is traditional for Belarus, but it is necessary to work systematically and purposefully, taking into account new conditions and challenges, “There was a pause caused by the pandemic. Now businesses from both sides are showing interest. We must also take into account the fact that we have had and continue to have long-term friendly relations. We must convert political advantage into added value of our business interaction.”

He also drew attention to the fact that countries must take into consideration the fact that, on one side and the other, a new generation of businessmen has already grown up.

According to the Centre’s Director, the more Belarusian manufacturers participate in such expos and forums, the more opportunities they present, the more this will result in practical results.

Moving on to peculiarities, Nikolai Borisevich recalled that 36 Belarusian companies representing various industries are participating in the event: food industry, petrochemicals, machine building, science and technology.

“There are definite results: 15 documents, 3 framework agreements on partnership relations and 12 contracts for a total amount of $26m were signed,” Nikolai Borisevich summed up.
